WALDO (Westchester Academic Libraries Directors Organization) partners with Mango Languages and Duke University Press
WALDO – a consortium representing academic, public and special libraries in New York State, Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Vermont – has announced Mango Languages, a provider of digital language-learning resources, as its newest vendor. Members can opt into resource packages either on subscription or perpetual access priced agreements.
Earlier this autumn WALDO also selected Duke University Press as a vendor after agreeing with the publisher consortial pricing offers to its members for a range of products.
EDP Sciences in deal with JISC
EDP Sciences has signed a contract with JISC providing colleges and universities in the UK with access to 27 journal titles. The agreement was reached as part of JISC’s NESLi2 SMP initiative. The NESLi SMP initiative aims to extend the range of resources available to UK higher education and research institutions by negotiating agreements specifically with small and medium-sized publishers.
Konsortium Baden-Wurttemberg and Springer Science+Business+Media in consortial agreement
Konsortium BW, the regional consortium representing universities and colleges in the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg, has negotiated a consortial agreement with Springer SBM. From the start of January 2015 to the end of December 2017 faculty staff, researchers and students of 51 higher education institutions will be able to use more than 1900 electronic journals published by Springer. The consortium also acquired the permanent archive access to these journals back to 2003. The deal is funded by the Baden-Wurttemberg State Ministry of Science, Research and Arts as part of a new e-science strategy to support research and innovation in the regional state.
