Thomson Reuters announces ScholarOne rebranding

mail article to a friend
The Healthcare and Science business of Thomson Reuters has announced new branding for its ScholarOne line of web-based solutions for submission and peer review. The new product names include ScholarOne Manuscripts (formerly Manuscript Central), ScholarOne Abstracts (formerly Abstract Central) and ScholarOne Proceedings (formerly Proceedings Central).

The ScholarOne rebranding is intended to reflect the commitment of Thomson Reuters to expand and enhance its suite of scholarly publisher and society workflow solutions. ScholarOne solutions are workflow toolsets that support the scholarly submission to decision process. They can also be extended into the management of the post-acceptance production workflow.

"The new names reflect precedent-setting changes and future plans to our workflow solutions," said Keith Collier, VP and General Manager of ScholarOne. "In looking toward the future, we felt it is important to maintain the well-known and highly regarded ScholarOne brand, so our customers know they will continue to receive the outstanding service and innovative product solutions they have come to expect."

With the next release, the ScholarOne platform will be extended to include functionality to support ScholarOne Books and ScholarOne Production. ScholarOne Books enables centralised and transparent book publishing from acquisition and content approval through content review, assembly, and release to production. ScholarOne Production, also a centralised workflow system, allows multiple journals to manage all production steps simultaneously for transparent process management across an organisation.
