mail article to a friend      Contacts

Starting in January 2007, Springer will publish seven of the societies' journals: Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A and B (co-owned by the two societies), Journal of Electronic Materials (owned by TMS), and Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance, Journal of Thermal Spray Technology, Journal of Failure Analysis and Prevention, and Journal of Phase Equilibria and Diffusion (owned by ASM).

"In an effort to further expand our international reach, TMS and ASM were looking for a progressive publisher with global expertise," said ASM Managing Director Stan Theobald. TMS Executive Director Alexander Scott continued, "We found in Springer a dedicated and service-oriented publishing partner who can help us achieve our growth objectives."

"Springer is delighted to be the trusted publishing partner for TMS and ASM," said Hubertus von Riedesel, Vice President, Publishing, at Springer. "We are honored to publish their prestigious journals and believe we are in an excellent position to strengthen and further develop these journals in close cooperation with them. Many societies choose to work with Springer because we have the infrastructure in place that ensures their journals receive the attention and visibility they deserve."
