Breakout session: Agents, publishers, and added value: how do libraries view the performance of subscription agents and journal publishers?

Rick Anderson, University of Utah, & Jill Emery, University of Texas at Austin, presented data from a US survey asking respondents to rate subscription agents and publishers on a variety of customer service measures. In general, respondents tended to favour using agents over direct subscription arrangements with publishers.
