OpenRFP
is an e-Procurement sales channel for software and other products designed
for the library and information industries.
Products and services are described in terms of their specific functionality
so users can see exactly what a vendor says about product features, with
links to additional information.
Vendors maintain their sales information locally but can link status and other information to Ringgold's Functional Descriptions.
Libraries use OpenRFP to
learn about products and to create their RFI, RFP, and other purchasing
documents.
Ringgold's e-Procurement toolkit helps libraries structure their requests
electronically; vendors also respond electronically, speeding up the supply
chain and making the market more efficient.
